The Listener powered by Dutch Sensor Systems makes sound measurable and insightful in (public) outdoor spaces. The Listener is fully integrated into Sustainder Anne fixtures and provides reliable 24/7 sound measurements. Users gain access to real-time levels and historical data via the cloud, including configurable alerts and reports. This turns sound into an objective and actionable source of information for liveability, safety, and policy.
The Listener uses DSS’s proven Ranos dB technology: accurate and robust sound level meters applied worldwide that comply with international standards (IEC 61672).
Why measure sound?
Sound is an important factor for liveability and health. With the Listener, you have access to:
Constant insight: real-time data and historical reports via a user-friendly dashboard
Objective evidence: hard data for complaints, inspections, or legal matters
Regulatory compliance: measurements according to European and local standards
Transparency: data easily shared with residents, regulators, and partners
Scalability and reliability: easy to deploy locally and internationally
The Listener translates the fleeting and often subjective phenomenon of sound into hard, actionable data. This replaces uncertainty with control, confidence, and efficiency.
Flexible and modular deployment
The Listener works with our modular cassette system, which can be installed without tools. This allows you to deploy the sensor within your existing infrastructure at the locations where you want to measure sound. The built-in processing power ensures that sound data is continuously and reliably processed according to international standards.
